Corporate partner Christopher S. Auguste was quoted in a New York Times article about Edouard E. Plummer, founder of the Wadleigh Scholars Program, of which Mr. Auguste is an alum. The articles recounts how Mr. Plummer came to develop the program, which for the past 50 years has been centered at the Wadleigh Secondary school in Harlem and aims to assist minority students who demonstrate excellent academic potential in pursuing scholarships to preparatory schools throughout the country. Mr. Auguste, whose participation in the program led to his acceptance into the Phillips Academy in the 1970s, was quoted as saying that Mr. Plummer "was way ahead of his time,”  and that he foresaw the need to assist minority children as the resources and opportunities available to them have become more scarce.

Since 2005, Kramer Levin has supported the Wadleigh Scholars Program with pro bono services and annual mentoring sessions. In that time, more than 60 scholars have gone through the program and on to colleges  such as Barnard, Boston College, Duke, and Princeton.
