Jean-Marc Desaché joins the Mergers and Acquisitions practice in the Paris office as a partner. Mr. Desaché’s arrival further enhances the scope of services offered by the team, adding a strong capital markets focus as well as an in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry.
He previously was a partner in Gide’s Mergers, Acquisitions and Corporate Law practice group.
Mr. Desaché advises companies on their mergers, acquisitions and restructuring and partnership transactions, specifically in the banking and insurance industry. He also advises specific or regulated companies, such as cooperative corporations, associations, professional unions and public companies. Furthermore, he specializes in IPOs, privatizations and international equity-linked offerings, as well as the creation of innovative financial products for banks and tier one products.
As a much-respected expert in corporate and securities law, Mr. Desaché advises a large number of listed companies and represents them before the French courts in any disputes they encounter. He also plays an active role in discussions with the French legislature relating to new corporate and securities legislation.
