Jean-Pierre Mattout Joins the Paris Office of Kramer Levin


October 13, 2004 – Paris, FRANCE: Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP today announced the appointment of Jean-Pierre Mattout as a partner, resident at the firm's Paris office. Mr. Mattout, who most recently served as General Counsel of France Telecom Group since 2002 and who previously served as General Counsel of the Paribas Group (since 1990) and as General Counsel and member of the Executive Management Board of the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of BNP Paribas (since 2000), joins the firm effective today.

Mr. Mattout also engages in part-time teaching as a Professor at PARIS II University Pantheon Assas and is the author of various publications in commercial, banking and finance law including the book "International Banking Law", which was awarded with the prize of the Association Law and Commerce (3rd edition published in October 2004)
