Kramer Levin represented Voya Investment Management and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in connection with a $111 million securitization of U.S. government receivables related to the installation of energy efficiency measures by Trane U.S. at nine GSA operated federal buildings and courthouses in New York City. A special purpose bankruptcy remote affiliate of Hannon Armstrong Sustainable Infrastructure, Inc., was the issuer. The Kramer Levin team consisted of Securitization partner Gilbert K.S. Liu, associates Daniel Michaelson and Elizabeth Collins, and Tax special counsel Helayne Oberman Stoopack. The transaction closed on May 20, 2016.
