On January 19, 2011, Kramer Levin client First Investors Consolidated Corporation closed its acquisition by Foresters (TM), a Canadian life insurance provider.  First Investors is an 80-year old financial services company that provides a broad range of investment and life insurance products and services.  Non-core businesses, including First Investors Federal Savings Bank were spun off to First Investors historical stockholders prior to closing of the merger.
