Kramer Levin advised Indaba Capital on its agreement to purchase up to $100 million of Senior Secured Fixed-Rate Notes issued by Imperial Holdings, a NYSE-listed company based in Florida. Imperial Holdings and its subsidiaries are involved primarily in the life settlements business. The notes were issued in a private, direct placement. The initial purchase of the first $25 million of notes closed on November 10, 2014.
