Kramer Levin Client Systemax Inc. Completes Purchase of E-Commerce Business of Circuit City

On May 19, Kramer Levin client Systemax Inc., a leading multichannel retailer of computers, electronics, and industrial products, completed its purchase of the trademarks and e-commerce business of the bankrupt retailer Circuit City, for a $14 million cash payment, plus a share of future revenues generated by the acquired assets over a 30 month period, guaranteed to be at least $3 million. The Systemax team included Corporate partner Eric M. Lerner, Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy special counsel Elise S. Frejka, Corporate associates Adam H. Price and Jennifer B. Pastarnack, and Intellectual Property special counsel Kevin M. Moss and associate Geoffrey G. Hu.
