Kramer Levin’s Paris office confirms the growth momentum of its Restructuring and Litigation practice with the election of Marie-Christine Fournier-Gille as a partner.

Ms. Fournier-Gille has been a member of the litigation practice in the Paris office since 1994. With a practice focusing on business law, she represents clients primarily in regard to commercial litigation and advises them on bankruptcy and restructuring matters. She has vast trial experience before the French courts and represents creditors at all stages of these procedures (negotiation of agreements and drafting of legal documentation, including related litigation). She has solid experience in insolvency proceedings and regularly advises her clients on their restructuring operations. She holds a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Business Law from the University of Paris XII (1991) and co-heads the Banking & Credit subcommittee of the Paris Bar.

"I am delighted to be elected partner at Kramer Levin. This promotion is the culmination of years of work, and reflects the values shared with my partners: a culture of excellence in the legal practice, and, by combining both counseling and litigation, offering our clients the benefit of our experience in both disciplines," said Ms. Fournier-Gille.

"Marie-Christine’s promotion to partnership is part of the strategy to strengthen our expertise in Restructuring and Litigation we have been developing for years for national and foreign banks and financial institutions, which we represent before the courts as well as in arbitration proceedings both nationally and internationally. This promotion perfectly exemplifies our firm’s core requirements: client proximity, international experience and practice excellence," explains Alexander Marquardt, managing partner of the Paris office.
