Kramer Levin advised the development team on issues relating to the subdivision, development, and condominium formation and offering of a new condominium to be constructed above an existing building at 711 West End Ave. Unlike other vertical developments in New York City, this new building will not be constructed on top of the existing building, but will be built on a steel and concrete platform almost six feet above the roof of the existing building and supported by columns surrounding the existing building, allowing the two buildings to remain independent and separately supported structures while still appearing visually unified. The Kramer Levin team was led by Real Estate partner Jay A. Neveloff and associates Deirdre M. Heffernan and Inge Hindriks.
