Kramer Levin Represents Millennium Partners in Sale of Sports Club/LA and Reebok Sports Club/NY
Kramer Levin represented Millennium Partners in the sale of its Sports Club/LA and Reebok Sports Club/NY health and fitness club business and certain related assets to Equinox Fitness for approximately $110 million. The transaction also involved the long-term lease by Millennium to Equinox of the Sports Club/LA and Reebok Sports Club/NY clubs located in Boston, Miami, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. The transaction was led by real estate partner James P. Godman and corporate partner Ernest S. Wechsler, along with real estate special counsel Risa C. Letowsky, real estate associate Pamela Swidler and corporate associate Lucy R. Zhao. The team also included corporate associate Alex Traum, real estate associate Jason R. Goldstoff, employment partner Robert N. Holtzman, employment special counsel Izabel P. McDonald, employee benefits special counsel Avram J. Cahn, tax partners Barry Herzog and Pamela M. Capps, environmental special counsel Karen Leo Mintzer and intellectual property special counsel Kevin M. Moss.
