Kramer Levin client Stone Point Capital LLC invested $100 million in Pierpont Securities LLC, a broker-dealer of Treasury and government agency securities. General Atlantic LLC, also a private equity firm, also invested $100 million. Stone Point and General Atlantic together own a majority of Pierpont. The $200 million capital infusion is expected to support Pierpont's capital base for trading and market-making.
