Kramer Levin successfully defended LTC Apparel Group against a copyright infringement action in the Central District of California. LTC was accused of infringing a copyrighted clothing design. Very early in the action, the Kramer Levin team, which included Intellectual Property associate Carole Klinger, successfully developed a defense of prior creation, assembled proof of LTC's prior creation, and presented this evidence to plaintiff's counsel. As a result, Plaintiff voluntarily dismissed its complaint against LTC without receiving any payment, and prior to the start of discovery.
