In honor of World Refugee Day, a Kramer Levin pro bono client was interviewed by MSNBC.com. The client, Marie Rose Mukeni Beya, a psychology professor, was a refugee who fled persecution in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for her teaching methods. Through Human Rights First, a team of attorneys won her a grant of asylum in 2004. Ms. Beya now teaches psychology at City College of New York.
