Insurance partner Daniel A. Rabinowitz was quoted in a Law360 article about the inclusion of the Federal Reserve Board as a provisional member of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors. The Fed joins the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and the Federal Insurance Office as the U.S. representation at the IAIS, a move that Mr. Rabinowitz was quoted as saying will lead to jockeying for position as the dominant U.S. voice on insurance regulation. Mr. Rabinowitz also commented on the Fed’s level of insurance expertise relative to other bodies within the IAIS.
