RiskMetrics Group Announces Acquisition of Research Firm
On February 13, Kramer Levin client RiskMetrics Group, Inc. agreed to acquire Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, Inc., a provider of sustainability research for the institutional investment community. RiskMetrics is a leading provider of risk and corporate governance services to participants in the global financial markets. The acquisition is expected to close on March 2. The Kramer Levin team consisted Corporate partner Howard T. Spilko and associate Adam S. Karasik; Tax partner Barry Herzog and associate Blake A. Rigel; and Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation special counsel Avram J. Cahn.
