Silicon Valley
The firm's Silicon Valley office opened in September 2011 to add more depth and reach to its world-class intellectual property practice. Prior to the office opening, a number of firm attorneys had already been spending a significant amount of time in Silicon Valley servicing existing clients. At the same time, the IP practice was experiencing tremendous growth in its domestic and global practice and the timing became right to cement our foothold in Northern California. The addition of this office with a well-known and respected IP litigation team further augments our representation of clients in IP litigation, and more specifically within the technology and life sciences industries, two areas in which we are particularly strong.
Kramer Levin's Intellectual Property Department, now with nearly 60 attorneys, represents clients in a variety of industries in all aspects of intellectual property law including litigation, prosecution, licensing, due diligence and technology transactions. The department is involved, on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants, in many of the most significant intellectual property litigation cases in the country before the federal district courts and appellate courts.
