Land Use partner Michael T. Sillerman was quoted in a June 13, 2012 Wall Street Journal article about the Poetry Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge, organized by and benefiting Poets House, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Participants were joined by actor Bill Murray and poet Galway Kinnell, who read Walt Whitman’s poem, “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry.” A long-time board member of Poets House, Mr. Sillerman said that it is a place where anyone can enter and learn from one of the world’s most important poetry collections for free. He also said that one of his favorite moments with Poets House was Mr. Murray’s reading of Emily Dickinson to a group of construction workers.
