The PSLRA and Obtaining Early Proof of Claims Information in Securities Class Actions

Kramer Levin Litigation partner Alan Friedman and Litigation associate Lauren Freeman-Bosworth wrote an article entitled "The PSLRA and Obtaining Early Proof of Claims Information in Securities Class Actions," which was published in the Fall 2001 issue of the Securities Regulation Law Journal .

The article reviews caselaw dealing with requests for early proof of claims information in securities class actions. It then argues that in view of heightened notice requirements for class settlements under the PSLRA, courts should grant motions seeking early evidence of claims information in securities class action litigation.
