Pro Bono Report: Alumni Report from Chad

Kramer Levin has many distinguished alumni who have gone on to serve society as judges, magistrates, prosecutors, public defenders, civil rights lawyers, and law professors, and in other public interest capacities.  We’re especially proud of former corporate associate Jonathan Vessey, who spent the last two years as a Peace Corps volunteer, teaching English to Seventh and Eighth grade students in N’Djamena, Chad.  Jonathan also helped raise money for a new school building to house a local student population that grew 40 percent over three years.  Supported with contributions from U.S. friends (including many at Kramer Levin), the project broke ground in December 2004 and was largely completed by the spring of 2005.
