Pro Bono Report: Alumni Report from Chad
Kramer Levin has many distinguished alumni who have gone on to serve society as judges, magistrates, prosecutors, public defenders, civil rights lawyers, and law professors, and in other public interest capacities. We’re especially proud of former corporate associate Jonathan Vessey, who has spent the last two years as a Peace Corps volunteer, teaching English to Seventh and Eighth grade students in N’Djamena, Chad. Jonathan also helped raise money for a new school building to house a local student population that grew 40 percent over three years. Supported with contributions from U.S. friends (including several at Kramer Levin), the project broke ground last December and was largely completed by this spring — an even quicker turnaround than our new offices!
