Ms. Katz's practice focuses primarily on white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation.
Ms. Katz has represented individuals and corporations in high-profile and sensitive matters involving a broad range of issues, including: allegations of securities and accounting fraud, accountant and auditor liability, money laundering, bribery, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations.
Ms. Katz also has wide-ranging experience with factually complex financial cases, including representing a prominent international financial service firm in class action and multidistrict litigation. In addition, Ms. Katz has experience conducting investigations and civil discovery in a variety of foreign jurisdictions, including: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, The Cayman Islands, and Italy.
Ms. Katz has also co-authored the following articles: “Pleading Loss Causation in Securities Litigation,”
New York Law Journal, April 2, 2007, and “Investment Company Governance,”
The Journal of Investment Compliance, Fall 2004.
Ms. Katz is currently serving on the firm’s Women’s Advisory Committee.
