Mr. O’Neill’s practice focuses on the representation of creditors’ committees, bondholder and bank lender groups, secured and unsecured creditors and debtors in litigation and general bankruptcy matters in chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.
Mr. O’Neill’s significant recent representations include the official committees of unsecured creditors of Magna Entertainment Corporation, Dana Corporation, Dura Automotive Systems, Genuity, Questron Technology and Penn Fashions. He has represented lenders and groups of creditors in the Wolverine Tube, ASARCO, Silicon Graphics, Tronox, Recycled Paper Greetings, WestPoint Stevens, Sea Containers, WCI Steel, Owens Corning and Bray & Gillespie bankruptcies. Additionally, he has represented the debtors in the bankruptcies of Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers, Bally Total Fitness, Lehman Brothers, Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals, Berry-Hill Galleries and Cross Media, and trustees in various Chapter 11 and 7 cases, including Island Mortgage and Edison Brothers Stores.
