Elizabeth Larsen is an associate in Kramer Levin's land use department. Her practice focuses primarily on the laws governing zoning, historic preservation and public incentives for development. She has represented clients before the Board of Standards Appeals, the Department of City Planning, the Landmarks Preservation Commission, the Department of Buildings and the Department of Finance. Ms. Larsen has drafted various development agreements, advised clients on answering Requests for Proposals (RFPs) issued by the New York City Economic Development Corporation, and performed diligence on the purchase and financing of major properties.
Ms. Larsen is an active participant in the firm's pro bono practice. She has successfully represented individuals seeking asylum through U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). She has also advised non-profits and arts institutions on a variety of matters that have included tax, corporate governance, development and preservation issues. In 2010, Ms. Larsen served as an extern in the Housing Law Unit of South Brooklyn Legal Services, where she represented low-income tenants in Housing Court.
Ms. Larsen has been a LEED-accredited professional since 2009. She sits on the Land Use, Planning and Zoning Committee of the City Bar of New York. Ms. Larsen is a regular contributor to the GreenEsq. Blog, which reports on the latest environmental law and sustainability developments, including "green" building and renewable energy initiatives.
