• Dean M. Yu works on intellectual property matters.

    During law school, Dean was a member of a winning team in the first joint law school competition to deploy artificial intelligence tools in legal discovery. As a member of the attorney general staff for the University of North Carolina’s Honor Court, he both counseled students and represented the university at multiple full panel hearings. He also interned for the Honorable Cheri Beasley of the Supreme Court of North Carolina and the Honorable Wanda Bryant of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Committed to pro bono and community service, Dean dedicated more than 200 hours over his three years at Carolina  Law to pro bono work, including indigent defense and veteran legal assistance. 

    Prior to law school, Dean worked with a number of multinational corporations to commercialize technologies, his work taking him across Asia Pacific and Europe.
