• Sammi R. Bershad works on complex commercial real estate financings, assisting in the representation of both commercial real estate lenders and borrowers in transactions including acquisition, development, construction, joint venture and note-on-note financings, as well as refinancings and consolidation loans, in connection with property across the United States. She also assists in the representation of owners, purchasers and developers in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of residential, office, retail, mixed-used and hospitality properties.

    Sammi’s work involves preparing transactional and ancillary documents, coordinating due diligence, facilitating closings and handling post-closing issues. Some of her recent notable transactions include the representation of a real estate investment fund in several acquisition financings, as well as refinancings and consolidation loans; a Tokyo-based real estate developer in construction loans, joint venture acquisition financing and refinancings related to four U.S. developments; and one of the largest North American real estate investment firms in construction and note-on-note transactions.
