• Zehra Jafri works on intellectual property matters, in particular on patent litigation in district courts, state courts and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the International Trade Commission. Zehra also advises on copyright, trademark, trade secret and unfair competition issues. Her work involves a range of technologies, including semiconductor materials and manufacturing, EV vehicles/charging, cybersecurity, mobile phones, computer hardware and networking, sports equipment, fashion, construction tools, consumer software and electronics, and pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

    Zehra joins Kramer Levin after working as an associate handling IP matters for a global law firm. While in law school, she interned for one of the world’s largest multinational computer technology and software companies, assisting with IP matters, and with the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Zehra also participated as a student associate with the Startup Legal Garage Patent Module, working with lawyers from San Francisco-area firms to assist clients with patent-related issues, including freedom to operate analyses and prior art searches. As a student-teacher in Yale University’s SPLASH program, she taught “Intellectual Property Law: Trademarks, Patents, Copyrights and Trade Secrets” to middle and high school students.
