The December 2010 issue of American Lawyer noted Kramer Levin's representations in four of the top 25 largest bankruptcies filed during the recession throughout 2008 and 2009. The firm was lead creditors' counsel in the bankruptcy filings of General Motors Corporation ($91 billion), Chrysler LLC ($39.3 billion), Capmark Financial Group Inc. ($21 billion) and Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. ($7.4 billion). Kramer Levin ranked number one for creditors committee representations and tied for number two for all representations.
