Dani R. James to Receive the Milton S. Gould Award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy

White Collar Defense and Investigations co-chair Dani R. James will receive the 2023 Milton S. Gould Award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy at the Office of the Appellate Defender's annual First Monday in October event, being  held at New York University Law School on Oct. 2.

Along with fellow Milton S. Gould award recipient Joon H. Kim of Cleary Gottlieb, Dani will argue “United States v. Rahimi,” which asks whether a federal law prohibiting persons subject to domestic violence restraining orders from possession of a firearm violates the Second Amendment.

The prestigious Milton S. Gould award is presented annually to two of the most highly regarded advocates in the nation in honor of legendary advocate Milton S. Gould.
