The New York Times, New York Post and many New York radio and TV news stations today featured stories on the Bloomberg administration hiring "top-flight criminal defense lawyer" Gary Naftalis and "high-powered law" firm Kramer Levin to defend city agencies in a criminal investigation of the fire at the former Deutsche Bank headquarters. In the August 18 blaze, two firefighters were killed. The actions of several contractors and city agencies, as well as the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation are all under scrutiny.
