Jeffrey S. Trachtman authored a blog post on the Huffington Post reviewing Winning Marriage, a new book by Marc Solomon chronicling the legal, political, and public education battles that have brought the marriage equality movement seemingly to the brink of national victory. Trachtman noted that Solomon’s book corrected some skewed earlier accounts that appeared to credit a limited number of recently involved advocates with jump-starting the movement, more accurately describing recent victories as the culmination of decades of work, masterminded by such leaders as Mary Bonauto and Evan Wolfson and executed through the painstaking, state-by-state efforts of hundreds of advocates, organizers, and families.
