Kramer Levin represented The Procter & Gamble Company, maker of dietary supplement Metamucil, in successfully defending an appeal by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) before the National Advertising Review Board (NARB) related to claims for GSK’s Benefiber supplement. NARB affirmed the National Advertising Division’s recommendation that GSK discontinue its claims that Benefiber is “100% Natural” and “clinically proven to curb cravings,” but found that the claim “helps you feel fuller longer” was substantiated.
