Kramer Levin's Representation of Michael Eisner in Disney Shareholders Derivative Lawsuit Noted as One of NLJ's Top 10 Defense Wins in 2005
Kramer Levin's successful representation of Michael D. Eisner in the Disney shareholders derivative lawsuit related to the hiring and firing of Michael Ovitz was selected by the National Law Journal as one of its Top 10 Defense Wins of 2005. On August 9, 2005, Chancellor William B. Chandler, III of the Delaware Chancery Court found that Eisner did not breach his fiduciary duties or waste corporate assets. Gary Naftalis led the Kramer Levin team of Michael Oberman, Paul Schoeman and Shoshana Menu.
