Associate
Ms. Walter's practice focuses primarily on white collar criminal and regulatory defense and internal investigations. She has participated in several criminal trials, including the successful representation of former New York State Representative Clarence Norman. In 2007, she successfully represented a company in a grand jury investigation by the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice.
Ms. Walter also has extensive experience in complex civil litigation, representing institutions and individual clients in practice areas including antitrust, securities fraud, contract disputes, political asylum and the First Amendment. In 2006, she conducted a hearing in federal court and won an injunction under the First Amendment barring Florida from enforcing a state law that had shut down non-partisan voter registration drives in that state. Her antitrust experience also includes preparation of an expert report on Antitrust Damages in an arbitration dispute involving the Rubber Chemicals industry.
