Mr. Neff practices in all areas of Intellectual Property, but focuses primarily on litigation of patent, trademark and copyright cases and on licensing and counseling.
Mr. Neff has conducted successful patent litigation that has resulted in the upholding of the validity and infringement of industry-dominating patents in both the television post-production and photo-typesetting fields. He successfully has defended patent infringement cases in the business equipment and other industries, including cases involving industrial software.
Mr. Neff has handled successful trademark litigation securing protection for many trademarks, including both famous and less famous marks. He has conducted successful trademark and unfair competition litigation under the Paris and Pan American Conventions, and has successfully defended companies against trademark infringement claims.
Mr. Neff currently is counseling computer, Internet, medical technology, HVAC, homewares and packaging companies, among others, and is actively participating in patent and computer software copyright infringement suits. He also has advised and counseled clients in connection with numerous mergers and acquisitions.
