Limits on Creditors’ Remedies Against Solvent Debtors Echoed in the Quadrant Litigation
Jared I. Heller is an experienced litigator with a diverse practice representing corporations and individuals in complex commercial, regulatory, employment and real estate matters. Mr. Heller represents clients in federal and state courts, before government agencies, and in arbitrations and mediations. He litigates cases involving a broad range of issues and claims, including breach of contract, corporate dissolution, wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, whistleblower claims, and enforcement of employment, noncompetition and severance agreements. In real estate-related matters, Mr. Heller represents developers, landlords and tenants in matters including Yellowstone injunction lawsuits, commercial lease interpretation cases and litigation involving the enforcement of obligations under guaranty and other deal agreements.
Recently, Mr. Heller was a senior member of the trial team that successfully represented the co-founder/owner of a large, privately held corporation in an expedited trial in Delaware Chancery Court seeking dissolution of the company due to corporate deadlock. He also recently played a leading role in the defense of a national services company in collective and class actions alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the wage and hour laws of a dozen states, and in a parallel arbitration proceeding.
