• Jeffrey H. Price works on intellectual property matters, in particular patent litigation in federal district courts and in proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In 2015, 2016 and 2020, Docket Navigator named Jeffrey one of the nation's top inter partes review practitioners.

Jeffrey also advises on patent-related matters to ensure that clients have sufficient patent protection and freedom to operate in order to reach their business objectives. He prepares and prosecutes U.S. and international patent applications, conducts patent portfolio analyses, and provides formal freedom to operate opinions. His work involves a wide range of technologies, including semiconductor fabrication and packaging, flash memory, nanotechnology, audio processing, digital imaging, solar power, vehicle control and braking systems, telecommunications, mobile and desktop software, and electronic device manufacturing.

Prior to joining Kramer Levin, Jeffrey served as a semiconductor device engineer at IBM, where he was responsible for functionality and performance of semiconductor products at the transistor level. His work required deep understanding of semiconductor physics as well as the semiconductor fabrication process to drive improvements to the process flow in terms of device performance, defect reduction and cost savings.

Jeffrey also has research experience in the field of optical and photonic devices, specifically in modeling and fabrication of novel devices, including optical isolators and optic modulators. His research employed the use of computer modeling and hands-on fabrication techniques for many types of optical devices, including LEDs, lasers and photonic crystals, on substrates ranging from Si to III-V and II-VI materials, LiNbO3, and sapphire.
