Ms. Mintzer's practice focuses on environmental law. Ms. Mintzer represents parties subject to federal, state and local environmental impact reviews, provides counsel in environmental compliance and enforcement matters, and gives advice in connection with environmental aspects of bankruptcies and corporate and real estate transactions, including transactions involving the redevelopment of "Brownfields." She is also an experienced litigator of environmental disputes ranging from challenges to the environmental impact reviews of major development projects to complex Superfund cases. Ms. Mintzer's clients include real estate developers, not-for-profit institutions, corporations and lenders.

Representative Experience 

  • Responsible for the environmental impact review of an almost 2 million square foot office building near Penn Station in Manhattan. 
  • Representation of the developer of the Atlantic Yards Project in Brooklyn in multiple litigations challenging the project's environmental review. 
  • Coordinated the environmental impact review of a new clinical building and energy center for a major hospital in Manhattan. 
  • Representation of a university on various environmental matters related to its expansion in northern Manhattan. 
  • Advise a New York City medical center on a range of environmental compliance matters. 
  • Responsible for the environmental impact review of a residential tower in midtown Manhattan that will also allow for expansion of a major museum.
