Ms. Buchinsky’s practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions and owner/developers in the financing of commercial real estate transactions in New York City and throughout the United States with an emphasis on owner/developer representation.

Her experience includes:  construction, interim and permanent financing of apartment buildings, office buildings, hotels and other types of commercial property through both traditional portfolio lenders and investment banks originating for securitization and/or sale in the capital markets; mezzanine financing; sale/leaseback financing; credit lease financing; and workouts and restructuring loans.  These financings have included single property transactions, as well as large multi-state/multi-property transactions.

Ms. Buchinsky also represents owners, developers and lenders in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions.

Recent Owner/Developer Representation 

  • Refinancing of a premier Manhattan office building with an investment bank that originated the loan for securitization
  • Creation of a commercial condominium for a Queens shopping center development 
  • Construction financing for the construction of a mixed use shopping center/residential condominium complex in Queens 
  • Defeasance of a Manhattan apartment building loan that was part of a securitized mortgage pool in connection with the sale of the project 
  • Ground lease amendment and easement, covenant and restriction agreement with adjoining property owner to facilitate the construction of a residential project on the ground leased parcel 
  • Multiple refinancings of Manhattan and Queens residential apartment building loans with a commercial bank originator for sale of the refinanced loans to the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation for securitization

  • Financing of a $1 billion plus loan for a Manhattan office building in Manhattan
  • Forbearance/work out of a mixed use retail/residential condominium project in Brooklyn
