Land Use Partner Jeffrey Braun was noted as counsel to Bruce Ratner, of Forest City Ratner, in a New York Law Journal article on a U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruling that Ratner did not violate the U.S. Constitution, particularly the Public Use Clause of the Fifth Amendment, by using eminent domain as a way to gather land for the Brooklyn Atlantic Yards project. The project is slated to feature an 18,000 seat basketball arena and 16 high-rise residential and commercial towers.
