New York, October 27 — Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP announced today the establishment of its Paris office with the addition of 21 new lawyers. The group of Paris-based lawyers, headed by Alexander Marquardt, includes partners Christian Orengo, head of the litigation department; Philippe X. Ledoux; Antoine Paszkiewicz; and John A. Stevenson; and 16 associates. The group formerly comprised the Paris office of Rogers & Wells LLP. Sixteen of the new lawyers are licensed as Avocats in France and authorized to appear before the French Courts; several of the lawyers also hold U.S. law degrees and are admitted to practice in the United States.

"This is an extraordinary leap forward in the development of our international capabilities," said Scott S. Rosenblum, Kramer Levin’s managing partner. "Our operating principle has always been to anticipate our clients’ needs. The addition of these 21 lawyers, whose entrepreneurial and cutting-edge style mirrors our own, ensures that our newly combined client base can draw upon fully integrated, unrivaled, international counsel. This group of lawyers exemplifies the excellence on which Kramer Levin prides itself and that is known throughout the legal community."

"We found in Kramer Levin an entrepreneurial spirit that matches our style of practice," said Marquardt. "We were very impressed both with their growth strategy and the sheer legal talent at Kramer Levin — it is absolutely a perfect fit. Moreover, Kramer Levin’s depth of experience and approach to the practice of law — client service is paramount — ensures that our clients on both sides of the Atlantic will reap the benefits of our combined strengths."
