Litigation partner Gary P. Naftalis was quoted in a Wall Street Journal article on the possibility that Manhattan district attorney Robert M. Morgenthau has decided not to seek reelection. Calling Morgenthau the "father of white-collar prosecutions," Naftalis said he "set the standard" for prosecuting white-collar crimes. Naftalis also worked as an assistant U.S. attorney under Morgenthau.
