On November 9, 1998, the Dow Corning Corporation filed a reorganization plan that included $3.2 billion to settle claims from women over its silicone breast implant and $1.3 billion in payments. 

Kramer Levin was instrumental in negotiating this settlement, which was one of the largest product liability settlements ever. Partner Kenneth Eckstein represented the committee of women claimants.
