Michael Lee

Michael H. Lee represents high-tech companies in patent litigation, post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He assists patent holders seeking to enforce their patent rights and defends clients against allegations of infringement across a variety of technologies, including computer software, network infrastructure, computer security and wireless networks.

Michael has served on a number of trial teams that have secured favorable jury verdicts for clients in the network security space. As a key member of the litigation team in the first virtual federal trial in the United States, he represented a computer network security company asserting patent infringement in the Eastern District of Virginia, resulting in a judgment of over $2 billion in damages.

Michael brings more than 10 years of practical engineering experience in the computer industry to his work on behalf of clients, including working while in law school at a Palo Alto-based multinational information technology company, where he was responsible for a wide range of engineering projects, from developing enterprise servers to implementing new e-commerce systems.

Michael is a member of the firm’s Attorneys of Color Affinity Group.
