Mr. Parise focuses on regulatory, corporate and transactional matters involving investment companies (mutual funds and hedge funds) and investment advisers.

Mr. Parise counsels boards of directors on governance and compliance issues arising under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, and with respect to mergers and acquisitions of funds, advisers and other companies. He also represents funds and advisers in negotiating material service contracts, including, among others, advisory, distribution, shareholder services, custody and securities lending arrangements.

Mr. Parise also concentrates on directors and officers liability, including indemnification and liability insurance-related matters, the negotiation of insurance policies, coverage analysis and coverage disputes.

Mr. Parise is a member of Kramer Levin’s Pro Bono Committee and is the supervisor of Kramer Levin’s veterans’ assistance pro bono program. In addition, Mr. Parise is accredited to represent military veterans before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
