Michael J. Sternhell
Associate

Mr. Sternhell’s practice focuses principally on litigating complex criminal and civil cases, representing clients in SEC enforcement actions and other administrative agency proceedings and conducting corporate internal investigations.  He has broad experience in the defense of individuals and entities charged with securities fraud, insider trading, accounting fraud and RICO violations.

Mr. Sternhell’s extensive pro bono practice includes such diverse civil practice areas as asylum law, government benefits and constitutional law.  He is also an alumnus of the firm’s Attorney Service Program with South Brooklyn Legal Services, during which he litigated over 50 housing court cases on behalf of low-income tenants facing eviction.

Mr. Sternhell is currently serving as co-coordinator of Kramer Levin's pro bono asylum program.
