William Johnson advises and represents corporations, in particular those in the finance, tourism, infrastructure, environmental and construction industries, in the hiring, transfer and retention of foreign talent. Mr. Johnson provides counsel to corporations in the context of corporate reorganizations such as spinoffs, mergers and acquisitions to ensure compliance with U.S. immigration law, and counsels companies on compliance with employer sanctions and antidiscrimination laws. In addition to his work on behalf of corporate clients, Mr. Johnson represents foreign investors and startups seeking either treaty investor or permanent residence status based on investments in their own enterprises or in special investment vehicles under the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.
A member of the Pro Bono Committee, Mr. Johnson dedicates significant time to representing pro bono clients in obtaining asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
