• In her role as chief legal talent officer, Lauren Tapper works with firm leadership to develop and implement Kramer Levin’s strategic recruiting and professional development initiatives.

    Lauren leads the firm’s lawyer recruitment efforts, including lateral and first-year associate hiring, as well as the summer associate program. Her work also involves collaborating on the successful onboarding of all new lawyers, strategizing and implementing policies and programs addressing retention issues, and assisting on aspects of counsel and associate relations.

    Lauren also leads the firm’s professional development initiatives, ensuring that the partners and associates are supported in their growth and development. Working closely with all attorneys, the Hiring Committee and other firm leaders, she develops strategies and programs that foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, and that enhance the recruitment, retention and advancement of lawyers.

    Lauren has more than 20 years of experience in strategic and operational human resources in the legal, financial and business environments.
