Shari Kahn Krouner represents funds and investors in private equity, co-investment, and merger and acquisition transactions, as well as issuers in public and private debt and equity offerings. Shari also works closely with the Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice on complex cases, providing advice to help clients efficiently and effectively solve legal, structural and transactional issues.
Shari has played a prominent role in representing Lexington Partners in all of its co-investment transactions — approximately $4.4 billion in more than 260 companies worldwide, alongside more than 130 sponsors. Her other notable representations include the Ad Hoc Group of Bondholders holding approximately $3 billion of bonds in PREPA, Puerto Rico’s electric company; bondholders, acquirers, potential acquirers and other major creditors in Jefferson County, AL, Calpine, Bally Total Fitness, Recycled Paper Greetings, Alpha Media and ASARCO; debtors in the bankruptcies of General Maritime, Bally Total Fitness, Ascendia, Malden Mills and Berry-Hill Galleries; and the official creditors’ committees for Residential Capital, NII Holdings, WP Steel and Smurfit-Stone.
Shari was recognized by Thomson Reuters’ New York Super Lawyers as one of its Top Women Attorneys in 2015 and 2016.
In addition to her work on behalf of clients, Shari serves on Kramer Levin’s Hiring Committee and Women’s Initiative Committee.
