Gurfein and his role in the Pentagon Papers case – and how it was a missed opportunity by the film “The Post” to give Judge Gurfein, as a rookie judge on the Southern District bench, credit for a bold ruling in support of the First Amendment, which ultimately paved the way to the Supreme Court ruling that allowed for the publication of the Papers by the New York Times and Washington Post.
