As part of the firm’s Diversity Speaker Series, the firm hosted the following events over the past several months:

Good Kids, Bad City. Author and award-winning Washington Post reporter Kyle Swenson discussed his book, Good Kids, Bad City: A Story of Race and Wrongful Conviction in America, on Feb. 27. In his book, Kyle chronicled the true story of the longest wrongful imprisonment in the United States to end in exoneration. All participants received a copy of his book.

Untangling Fear. Brooklyn Law School Professor Heidi K. Brown led a discussion about her new book, Untangling Fear in Lawyering: A Four-Step Journey Toward Powerful Advocacy, on June 20. As part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness of, and offering tools for, overall wellness and mental health, Heidi shared her insights on how to overcome fears that can negatively affect lawyers’ learning, performance and well-being. All attendees received a copy of her book at the lunch event.
